Mr. Emmet Doyle would have served in several capacities from a relatively young age at the Botanical Garden included as a Curator while employed with the Ministry of Agriculture before retiring around the period 2000. Mr Doyle has been known for his work in several areas such as tree propagation, grafting of friut tree crops and the beautification of several areas in the Garden. He also had close working relationships with several past Curators in his young days such as Mr. Conrad Defreitas, Mr. Samuel Peters, Mr. Reynold Bullock, Mr. James Francois and Dr. Earl Kirby who curated the museum in the Garden.
Persons who have worked with him remember his quiet disposition, generosity, thoughtfulness with regards to several aspects of work.
Mr. Doyle would have been recognized for his indelible contribution and service to the Botanical Garden, as part of activities to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Botanical Garden in 2015.
He will be missed as a person who could be consulted for his wealth of knowledge and experiences on aspect of the plants and historical operation of the Garden.
